+   Charter of values

Our values are how we work 365 days a year, 24 hours a day, because the hospital is always open. These values, which are expected by the patients, citizens, institutions, and providers, must be translated coherently into policies by those who administer and into concrete words and actions every day.

The values which guide every worker at Niguarda are:

  • The centrality of the assisted person
  • Professionalism
  • Training and education for continuous quality improvement
  • Multidisciplinary approach to health care
  • Support for clinical and managerial research

WE ARE COMMITTED TO:

  • Assist every person who comes to our hospital for help with the same dedication we expect for ourselves or to be given to our loved ones in case of need.
  • Be present and available to our patient as if the possibility to live an illness as a positive experience depended entirely on us.
  • Be attentive to the first impact with our services as if our availability was the condition for our patients to receive an adequate response to their needs.
  • Offer those who have access to our hospital a clean, healthy and welcoming environment as if they were guests in our homes.
  • Present ourselves to each patient with the awareness that in that moment we represent the entire hospital community.

ETHICAL CODE

Niguarda has adopted its own Code of Ethics. The document contains the values and principles which regulate hospital activity and characterize the behaviour of all hospital employees and those who act in behalf of the hospital in any way.
