Niguarda is a place of health care and culture. Knowing Niguarda means to come into contact with more than 4,100 health care workers, of whom 750 are physicians and more than 2,000 are nurses, health technicians, physical therapists, or midwives. There are 70 buildings for hospitalized patients and more than 200 clinics. It is a referral centre for patients of all ages from every region of Italy.

• Unipolar Spinal Unit
• centre for Rare Diseases (more than 100 pathologies treated)
• University program for Nursing Sciences
• MAPP Museo D'arte Paolo Pini (Paolo Pini Art Museum), officially recognized municipal museum.

Niguarda has a centre for detoxification and treatment of the damage caused by smoking, and has a referral centre for the treatment of tuberculosis at the Istituto Villa Marelli.
